A dependant visa is issued for a period ranging from 2 to 10 years, depending on the type of visa held by the sponsor who grants residency status to their family member. Required Documents Package:
- Electronic application (E-channels).
- Dependant’s passport valid for at least 6 months and a color photo (3×4 cm) on a white background.
- Sponsor’s Emirates ID and passport pages with visa.
- Proof of income (Salary Certificate or corporate bank statement).
- Title deed / Ejari or Tenancy Contract (housing must meet minimum space requirements).
- Valid medical insurance (if applicable).
- Attested certificates (marriage certificate, birth certificate, and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the other parent for children from a previous marriage).
Dependants aged 18 and above are required to undergo a medical examination, including chest X-ray and blood tests, and complete Emirates ID biometrics before the visa is stamped.

1 Application submission and fee payment — payment via E-channels, issuance of Entry Permit.
2 Change of status (if applying from within the UAE) or entry using the Entry Permit.
3 Medical examination and biometric enrollment.
4 Medical insurance confirmation (in Dubai/Abu Dhabi — before visa stamping).
5 Residence visa issuance (electronically or as a physical stamp).
6 Emirates ID issuance for the dependant.
Timeline: 5–7 working days (if applying from within the UAE) / 10–15 working days (if applying from outside the UAE), provided all documents are correct.
